Description
Here we have aVintage CRAFTSMAN, WEST GERMANY, 'YANKEE' type Spiral Push Screwdriver w/ 2 Bits.
North Brothers, Philadelphia, PA made the original "Yankee" push screwdrivers. Stanley purchased them in 1946. Craftsman used 'contract manufacturing for their tools so this must have been made by Stanley, in West Germany, for Sears - Craftsman. This example is in good 'used & working' condition. Surfaces have some wear to the finishes, particularly the handle. (see pics). The 3-position collar works as it should with Right-Fixed-Left. Very good strong spring for driving screw. Approx. 12"L closed (without bit) and 17"L open (without bit). No cracks in the wood handle but does have some nicks. Comes with 2 driver bits: one flat tip, and one Phillips head.
