Modernist Judith Hendler Geometric Pendant Collar Ring Acrylic Necklace Vtg 1980

This very rare Judith Hendler clear acrylic necklace will make an excellent addition to your modernist runway statement jewelry collection!  It features a "diamond cut" style pendant hanging from Hendler's signature circular neck collar.  It does have some wear as detailed below but that is offset by it's rarity and 1980's runway statement appeal!  Treat yourself today.  Please read complete details and information below in addition to carefully reviewing all photos. ABOUT THE PIECE/ARTIST
: This fab necklace features Hendler's signature clear acrylic neck loop choker necklace with c-hook/eye hook metal findings and abstract geometric polished pendant. Hendler started her career as Art Director at Neutrogena and eventually started creating her amazing runway style jewelry pieces using upcycled discarded airplane acrylic scraps that she sourced from a friend.  Her statement styling lead her work to be featured on 1980's televisions series such as Dynasty, Knot's Landing and Days Of Our Lives in addition to being features in high-end retailers such as Saks & Nordstrom.

SIZE
: The entire piece including the neck loop and pendant measures approximately 3/4" deep x 5 3/4" wide x 11" in height. The necklace tube/rod is approximately 3/8" thick. The inside opening fit of the collar necklace measures approximately 5" x 5". The pendant measures approximately 3/4" x 1 1/2" x 4 1/2" (not including the metal c-hook).

used AS-IS condition
with expected wear as seen in photos. I see no breaks or repairs but it does include abrasions/marks/scratches on the flat surfaces from wear in addition to some chips along the sharp edges of the pendant as seen in photos. There is also a small spot of pink on the bottom tip of the pendant that I have not tried to clean off...I am guessing that it is from a red pen and can likely  be cleaned off. I have not cleaned or polished this piece as I prefer to leave that up to the buyer--with that said, please do your research regarding how to care for acrylic/plastic jewelry if you end up owning this piece...it is very easy to damage the surface if the wrong products are used. Please note--since this is a handmade artisan piece the surface includes variations in texture with uneven areas as seen in photos and expected in handmade jewelry.
