Vintage Strand of Graduated Amber Beads
Description and Item Information
Up for sale are these beautiful, vintage amber beads. Please excuse the glare in the photos. The amber beads are strung on a piece of white string with a silvertone metal clasp. They are graduated, with the larger beads near the center. The necklace weighs approximately 25.2 grams, and there are 33 oval or olive-shaped beads. The length, from end to end, is about 17 5/8 inches. One of the smallest beads is approximately 5/16 inch by 1/4 inch by 1/4 inch. The largest bead is approximately 13/16 inch by 5/8 inch by 5/8 inch. There is variation in color (lighter and darker), with colors that resemble butterscotch. The beads are opaque. These beads would be a wonderful addition to a collection of amber jewelry.
Identification
This vintage necklace has no markings. The exact age is not known. The beads are made from amber. I do not know from what region the amber is.
Condition
The beads look good overall, with light wear from use. There are minor imperfections. Where some of the beads touch/rub against each other, there are small chips (most noticeable area shown in Photo 5). The clasp works. Please review the photos, and ask any necessary questions prior to bidding or buying.

1. Payments
Taxes may be applicable. The correct shipping address must be included with payment. Contact the seller before bidding or buying to find out about acceptable payment methods for local pickups or deliveries. Payments must be received within three days of the end of the listing, unless prior arrangements have been made.
2. Shipping
Good packaging is included; double-boxing is not necessarily included. Framed art will not be shipped unframed. The seller usually ships on Mondays and Thursdays. The merchandise will normally be shipped on the seller's next shipping day after payment clears. The seller is not responsible for the transit time once the merchandise has been accepted by the shipping carrier.
Shipping includes delivery to a physical address via a method of the seller's choice. If the buyer prefers a different shipping method other than that chosen by the seller, or if delivery is to a post office box, additional shipping costs may be required. At the seller's discretion, a signature may be required for delivery.
Shipping quotes must be requested prior to all international bidding or buying. For international shipping, there may be parcel size restrictions or prohibitions on certain classes of merchandise. Customs forms will not be falsified.
International buyers, please note: Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer's responsibility.
