Dragonfly and Cattail Stained Glass art, handcrafted

Description

The mysterious Dragonfly in cattails in the sun panel.  Blue swirled transparent hand rolled glass for the sky, iridized translucent textured glass on the wings, blue/green translucent art glass for the body of the dragonfly, Orange wispy art glass for the sun and cattail, ribbed clear glass and textured red glass for the border. Copper patina for the dragonfly and cattail.  The rest of the panel has black patina.  It is rare that the solder is patinaed both copper and black in the same panel for dramatic effect.

This piece was hand crafted by glass artist Pamela Merritt Kramer.  Each piece of glass was hand cut,  ground to fit perfectly, edges wrapped with copper foil, soldered together, and patina-ed black.  Both the front and back solder is finished smoothly. The finished panel is framed with 3/8" Zinc came with mitered corners for strength. The piece is then cleaned and waxed to a beautiful shine that resists finger prints and dust.
The piece is 15" wide x 16" tall.
Each piece is carefully packaged, and insured upon shipment. Hanging hooks with chain attached.
