    Description

    ANTIQUE VICTORIAN BLUE BANDED AGATE SPINNER WATCH FOB CHAIN & CLIP
    BRASS METAL
    Had been gilded in gold at some point but now shows mostly the brass metal which has a darkened patina now. Could polish up really well I would think
    The chain is later, 1930's era, but came together with the fob so I'm leaving them as they are. Besides, they look wonderful together
    The agate fob alone weighs
    12.2 grams
    Measures 1 inch across at the widest point - (east to west) x 3/4" long (north to south)
    Stone is in excellent antique  condition, no chips or cracks
    Beautifully polished with three sides that are oval in shape.
    The flat measurement is approx. 7/8" as are all of the polished oval areas,
    give or take a tiny difference as it is hand done.
    It spins around and any of the oval sides could be the bottom.
    The gemstone is securely riveted to a uniquely designed brass finding which is hand made.
    There is also a clip though I'm not sure what it's used for
    Chain alone measures 17 1/4" total length (without the components)
    Clip measures 1" long x approx. 3/8" wide
    Ring component measures 1  9/16" long,  circle measures 7/8" in diameter
    Very good -excellent antique condition. I believe the agate fob was attached to the ring piece, I'm not sure when it became unattached. Am leaving it as I bought it for the new owner to deal with. Otherwise only age appropriate wear seen, mostly to the metal which has a dark patina on it. The clip was gold gilded, much of the gold has worn off now.
