Description
This is a full hydro-turbine set consisting of:1)
Solid aluminum hub
measuring 8" in diameter, with 64 pre drilled paddle base holes; It carries a 10 YEAR warranty.
2) 32 HDPE (High Density Polyethylene - Also known as Injected plastic) Pelton Paddles/Spoons; Please note the attached, Picture # 2 for exact measurements of the spoons; They carry a 10 YEAR warranty.
3) All required nuts/bolts for assembly (kit comes unassembled); As of 2019 they are stainless steel and they carry a 10 YEAR warranty.
* These paddles are capable of receiving up to 60+ PSI of pressure.
* The spoons can handle a jet coming from multi sized nozzles, from 1/8" to 1",
however, they were designed with two 1/4" nozzles in mind, positioned at 90 and 180 degrees.
You can easily find the 1/4" nozzles at your local hardware store.
* 32 Paddle system was designed for high RPM, medium torque applications of up to 3KW.
PLEASE DO NOT OVER TORQUE THE BOLTS!! USING NON-POWERED EQUIPMENT IS RECOMMENDED FOR ASSEMBLY!!
Over torquing can cause micro-fissures in HDPE bases, causing it's overall rigidity to decrease exponentially. In it's finished form, one of these paddles can actually withstand the weight of a grown man.
Please note that the aluminum wheel may have abrasions from shipping, but they do not affect functionality in any way.
IF YOU ARE NOT SATISFIED FOR ANY REASON, SIMPLY CONTACT FOR "NO QUESTIONS ASKED" RETURNS!!!! This is the lowest priced - highest quality system of it's kind on the net, and we are sure you will love it, as well as make good use of it!!!!
Note that you will need to CNC an appropriate coupling for your generator shaft (as there are many generator shaft sizes out there, we don't sell one because it may be useless); This is a simple process at a local CNC shop or you can buy one of numerous generic ones at an online bearing shop. You will need a nozzle, and any nozzle from 1/8" to 1" will work (we highly recommend 1/4" nozzles for this size paddle). Obviously, you will also need a generator and required power generating accessories.
